Vallejo City Council: Release the badge bending reports IMMEDIATELY!

[UPDATE: An independent investigation has been launched into the destruction of evidence but we still need to demand that the badge bending report is released to the public IMMEDIATELY!]

The Vallejo PD has intentionally destroyed nearly all the evidence in six police killings in 2021. This was no accident. They had approval from senior staff in the city. With the California DOJ investigating their department, and the passing of a new state law to make these records public, it's clear that they are trying to hide their brutality and avoid accountability. This is the same police department where officers commemorated their fatal citizen kills with beers and backyard barbecues and the ceremonial act of bending the star tips of their police badges for each time they kill in the line of duty. And attorneys for the police want this report to remain secret.
